37 years in construction → full-time agentic engineering.
I spent decades building things you can stand on; electrician, plumber, GC, home builder, commercial estimator. Half of that work was managing information and coordinating chaos. Software turned out to be the same job with different tools.
Over the last 2+ years I went from not knowing what GitHub was to shipping full applications. This is the most focused and passionate I’ve been about something since I got my GC license in 2014. I’m now full-time on agentic tools.

Contractor Takeoff — in active development
AI-native bid command center for specialty subcontractors. Local-first by design.
Being built inside Ködade.
The free open-source engine is already available:
contractor-bid (MIT)
| Project | What it is |
|---|---|
| conmcp | MCP server that reads commercial plan sets like an estimator |
| contractor-bid | Open-source AI-ready bid workspaces for commercial subs |
| agent-observability-tui | Local TUI for tracing and replaying agent/MCP sessions |
| mcp-macos-toolkit | Safety-first macOS MCP tools (files, Shortcuts, Homebrew, etc.) |
| project-planner + mvp-builder | Planning orchestrator and its build-mode counterpart |
| claude-architect-course | Interactive Claude Certified Architect course that runs inside Claude Code |

I still build like a GC: define the end state, find the path, ship, walk it, iterate.
AI is the crew. I stay the one holding the plans.
Currently 99% frontier models for real development work. Local models are a direction I’m deliberately increasing over time for the parts that make sense (repeatable tasks, domain-specific work, privacy-sensitive pieces).
