Offical Firefox extension out of date

As of writing this the version of the extension available on Firefox addons is 2 years out of date. Could you please push the latest version, and if not why?

Well, i did the tampermonkey install method for my Firefox setup and that one installs the 3.1.5 version, which seems like it's working fine so far

It's because Mozilla for some reason is not approving the new versions since they apparently keep rejecting it

If recent versions are broken, as R84Mk wrote, that's a pretty strong argument for rejecting updates.

Yeah I noticed that when I tried to manually install it in FF or LibreWolf it says the extension is corrupted therefore it's broken I just hope the developer can sort out the problem and fix it

This has been broken since April and there are apparently no updates on what is being done about it.

Yeah I noticed that when I tried to manually install it in FF or LibreWolf it says the extension is corrupted therefore it's broken I just hope the developer can sort out the problem and fix it

"This add-on could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt." is a generic error and can mean a lot of things.
Here, the error is specific to the manual install method using the firefox.zip file: an id is missing in the manifest.json. (I wonder if @Anarios adds it manually before uploading the zip to Github and forgot to add it for 4.x)

Fortunately I found 2 workarounds for that:

• Easy but temporary: load the addon via about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox (or setting cog > "Debug Add-On" instead of "Install Add-On from file"). But the extension will only work for the current session.
• (Edit: This method only works with Nightly and Dev Edition and forks like Librewolf) For a more persistant workaround, in the firefox.zip file you have to edit the manifest.json file and add this part at the end

I'm trying to install the latest version of the extension (4.0.4 if I'm correct) with this method, but it gives me this error:

The dislike button is back for me. I went over to https://www.returnyoutubedislike.com/install and installed the userscript - which installs 3.1.5 if I'm not wrong, but I can't see that release over here on github. Any idea what's going on here?
