I recently passed the ISACA CISA certification exam, and I wanted to share my preparation strategy in case it helps others who are planning to take the exam. CISA covers a wide range of topics, including IT auditing, governance, risk management, security, and information systems operations, so having a structured study plan was essential. I studied for about eight weeks, focusing on one exam domain at a time and reviewing my notes regularly to reinforce the key concepts.
One of the most important parts of my preparation was practicing with CISA Practice Questions every day. Instead of simply reading books, I challenged myself with scenario-based questions to better understand how the concepts are tested in the real exam. Whenever I answered a question incorrectly, I carefully reviewed the explanation to understand my mistake. This helped me strengthen my weak areas and gradually improve my scores.
For additional practice, I used CertsTopic, which provided a good collection of CISA Practice Questions covering all major exam domains. The practice sessions helped me become familiar with the exam format and improved my confidence before the actual test. I also used the official ISACA review manual and watched free YouTube videos to clarify topics that I found challenging. Combining these resources gave me a balanced approach to exam preparation.
During the final week before the exam, I focused on revising my notes and taking full-length mock exams instead of learning new material. By then, my practice scores had improved consistently, and I felt ready for exam day. I managed my time well during the exam and successfully passed the CISA certification.
If you're preparing for the ISACA CISA exam, I recommend creating a realistic study schedule, practicing consistently with CISA Practice Questions, reviewing your mistakes, and using trusted resources like CertsTopic alongside the official study materials. Understanding the concepts is far more valuable than memorizing answers, and consistent practice can make a significant difference in your exam performance.
