Hi everyone,

I am in online school so I have uploaded screenshots of evidence that I am a student & enrolled but my applcation keeps being denied saying I need to take a pic of the documents. It's online school so I do not have physical documents to take pics of. Should I pull up the document on another device and take a pic from this device to upload it?

@Forensic-Byte Yes—if GitHub’s application flow specifically requires a camera photo, displaying the official document on a second device and photographing it with the application device is a reasonable approach.

Before resubmitting, make sure the image clearly shows:

• Your full name
• The school’s name or logo
• Your current enrollment status
• At least one date proving the enrollment is current
• The entire document, with no cropped or blurry sections

GitHub accepts a current school ID, class schedule, transcript, or official enrollment-verification letter. Online-school students are still eligible as long as the program grants a degree or diploma and the evidence proves current student status.

Avoid ordinary screenshots if they are repeatedly rejected. Open the original document full-screen on another device, increase the brightness, remove personal information that is not required, and take a clear photo without glare.

Also check the exact rejection reason before reapplying. Repeatedly submitting the same evidence will likely produce the same result. If the school does not issue physical IDs or academic email addresses, request an official enrollment letter on school letterhead explaining that you attend online, then submit a photo of that document. GitHub specifically allows official documentation when an institution does not provide an academic email.
