Locked out of github account

My account is held hostage by someone who's locked me out of my github and gmail account associated (he has activated 2FA on his own device and changed all passwords). Contacted support but no answer yet. I am a complete newbie and paid someone to do a project for me on github. He did it but he didn't know how to do stripe integration so he hired someone else to do it but he gave my credentials to the 2nd person. 2nd person changed all passwords and is now blackmailing me into giving him more money (after already being paid and admitting to it but wanting more)... anything more I can do besides wait endlessly it seems for maybe getting an answer from support?

I'm sure you'll never share your details with someone again after this experience.
I guess the best thing you can do at this point is collect evidence of the blackmail, payments, messages etc.
Don't pay the person as you've already paid them their amount and they locked you out so I don't see why they would give you your account back after further payment.
You should take the evidence and contact your local authorities.
Also keep following up with GitHub support for the time being.
Hopefully you can get your account back and that ah gets his karma.
