Is it possible to connect Replit with a GitHub Organization and not just personal account?! Connection Errors

I'm working with a team of tech consultants to build a site together. We have set up a Teams account on Replit and I've set up a personal GitHub account, then created an Organization that I'm the owner of and added all the consultants to it. They're on a team, and that team has been granted admin level privileges on our shared (empty) repo. When I go into Replit, I am prompted to install the Replit app on either my personal or the organization GitHub account. I select the Org, grant access to all repos. Then when I go back into Replit, paste in our Org URL, it won't let me create a repo in GitHub, giving me the error message "Couldn't create Repository. Ensure permissions have been granted for at least one repository."

We troubleshot for an hour and a half and had no luck, have reached out to Replit support but no word yet. Any ideas of what we should try?!

Thanks for the response! I don't see any button to add an app when I'm on the Org "OAuth App Policy" page. Where can I find it?

There is no page under "Third-party access" that is called "Authorized OAuth Apps?

🔧 GitHub + Replit Repo Creation Issue — Quick Fix Steps

✅ 1. Check GitHub App Permissions

• Go to: GitHub → Your Org → Settings → Applications → Installed GitHub Apps → Replit
• Ensure:
  • Replit app is installed at the Org level
  • Has access to all repos or manually select the target repo

✅ 2. Reinstall the Replit GitHub App

• Revoke Replit from:
  GitHub → Profile Settings → Applications → Authorized OAuth Apps
• Go back to Replit and reinstall the app
• This time, select your Organization, not your personal account

✅ 3. Create the Repo Manually

• On GitHub:
  • Manually create the repo under your Organization
  • Make sure Replit app has access to that repo
• On Replit:
  • Use the Import from GitHub option instead of creating a new repo

✅ 4. Use an Incognito Window

• Login only with the Org GitHub account
• Avoid being signed into multiple GitHub accounts to prevent token conflicts

🕓 Temporary Workaround

• Use VS Code + GitHub manually for now
• Wait for Replit support to respond if the issue persists
